For the summer 2024, Leonet Hoang gallery and Félix Frachon gallery decided to open an ephemeral gallery in Knokke Zeedijk. All this would never have been possible without the kind invitation of Albert Baronian, the help of his fabulous team, Hors limite peinture who brilliantly realised our (perhaps a little crazy) ideas, all our artists who followed us in this project, Anthony Meyer who has supported us since the beginning of the gallery with his exceptional pieces of Oceanian art, the 2 magnificent Carolines who came to support us throughout, our collectors and finally our associates Leonet Hoang thanks to whom we have such beautiful original furniture.
Originally located in the heart of Brussels, Galerie Félix Frachon is a must-see exhibition space for art lovers. Founded by Félix Frachon in 2016, the gallery stands out for its commitment to promoting emerging and established artists from the Global South, including Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
The gallery's mission is to create a dialogue between different artistic cultures and to bring to light talent that is still unknown on the international scene. Félix Frachon is passionate about cultural diversity and intercultural exchange, and has developed an innovative and audacious programme that reflects contemporary concerns and global issues.
The exhibitions organised by the gallery explore a variety of media, from painting and sculpture to video and installation, offering a dynamic and versatile platform for artists. In addition to exhibitions, the gallery actively participates in international fairs, contributing to the worldwide recognition of its artists.
This summer, the Galerie Félix Frachon has the great pleasure of presenting MAGMA, a temporary project in Knokke, in collaboration with the antique dealers Leonet Hoang. From July to September 2024, MAGMA, located at Zeedijk 731, will present a selection of design furniture chosen by the latter, as well as three rotating gallery exhibitions. The artists on show include Marianne Aublet, Pierre-Louis Graizon, Mano Penalva, Dimitri Fagbohun, Nyaba Leon Ouedraogo, Ozias, Lia Mit- tarakis, Ratna Gupta, and many more. A selection of art from Oceania will also be on show, thanks to Galerie Meyer - Oceanic Art, which has specialised in oceanic art since 1986 and is located at 17 Rue des Beaux Arts in Paris.
Dialogue is therefore always at the heart of the work of the Galerie Félix Frachon, which, through MAGMA, will be offering a unique fusion of periods, from 400 AD to the present day, bringing together anonymous early artists and renowned international figures such as Ozias and Marianne Aublet, and encompassing the cultural riches of every continent.
Félix Frachon gallery is pursuing its founding values by presenting powerful and captivating works that question and push back cultural and aesthetic boundaries, where art transcends frontiers and creativity flourishes in all its diversity.
