Clara Rivault, born in 1991, is a French artist based in Paris. She is a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts Contemporains in Montpellier and holds a master's degree from La Cambre in Brussels. Rivault's artistic career includes a rich engagement with traditional techniques such as bronze, glass and porcelain, which she has deepened through residency programmes and collaborative projects abroad.
Clara Rivault's work often explores the art of stained glass, a process that begins with photographic samples that she meticulously dissects and reassembles. Her creations blend mythological narratives with real-world elements, infusing organic materials and living fabrics into glass to create sculptural forms.
One of her most notable projects is 'La Promesse d'une Promesse', a sound and photographic installation that reflects personal and collective memories. This work highlights the artist's ability to weave intimate stories into broader social and historical contexts, engaging viewers through a combination of visual and auditory elements.
She is an active member of the POUSH Manifesto in Aubervilliers and has participated in exhibitions such as 100% at the Grande Halle de la Villette. She is also the winner of the "HEDERA" project, which involves the creation of a monumental piece for the French Institute in Paris.
